Interview: Ed Westwick isn’t Chuck Bass
Easygoing, funny, and above all, a regular guy, the bad boy of ‘Gossip Girl’ would rather be kicking soccer balls than clique-ing out. Enjoying off-time at Central Park South’s 6 Columbus Hotel, the British actor shows how it’s done, the old-fashioned way (you know, politely).
He may only be seen for a few minutes in Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar—playing a soft-spoken, low-level FBI agent taking dictation for a curmudgeonly Leonardo DiCaprio as Hoover—but that’ll work.
“There’s no such thing as a small part in a Clint Eastwood movie,” says the debonair and old-before-his-time, 24-year-old actor, whose droll, purring Cheshire cat of a natty-attired character on “Gossip Girl” has come to personify more than even Blake Lively’s entitled Upper East Side brat-hood. “I’m just glad I got some time to get up there with two generations of great actors,” he says, referring to DiCaprio, and of course, the unstoppable Eastwood.

I have no idea why I’ve written this but I wanted to share it with you. It’s my thoughts on the CB scenes of this last episode and a little speculation. I hope it will give you positive thoughts and I’d love to hear what do you think.

Yesterday night Ed and Leighton (and apparently Desmond and possibly Kelly, Matthew, Kaylee and Blake/Chace) filmed scenes at the Rooswelt Hotel. I think they did some Casino scenes since there were casting calls for croupiers and people in black tie attire… they let some fans in, which is weird and also desperate because I think they want people to tune in, especially C&B fans given that Ed and Leighton were the only ones spotted on that set and of which we have a “proof”.

Sadly there aren’t more pics, but we can expect there may be today because they’re going to film at the Hotel Empire again (according to various sites and the 5.24 callsheet). Also, something that makes me both happy and confused… yesterday one of my twitter friends was on set and said she saw Bart Bass! A person claims to have seen him at the end of last week too, perhaps… on the callsheet, there is a character we don’t know about who is “28″. He/she has scenes with Rufus (7), Chuck/Blair (2,6) and with Lily (8). Of course it could also be uncle Jack, but what if? We’ll see.
